Where to park in Victoria

The Best Spots for Tourists and Locals

Finding parking in Victoria can be a bit of a challenge, especially in the downtown area. Unfortunately, due to our prime location in the city's historic district we don't have any parking available at Waddington Flats. But don't worry – plenty of other parking options are available nearby! Here are a few suggestions that we think are particularly convenient:

Street Parking

There is plenty of metered parking in downtown Victoria. We suggest you download the ParkVictoria app to pay for parking, which allows you to add more time from your phone if needed. Just be sure to check the posted signs for any parking restrictions, as some areas may have time limits or be designated for specific types of vehicles. Parking will run you $1.50-$3/hour. It’s free M-S, 6 pm-9 am, and all day Sunday.

Parkades

Bastion Square Parkade (a 1-minute walk from Waddington Flats) and the View Street Parkade. It costs $16/day or less, depending on how long you want to stay. The parkade is free from 6 pm to 9 am during the week and free on Sundays.

Public Transit

Another option is to park your car at one of the many Park and Ride locations in the Victoria area and take public transit downtown. This is a cost-effective and convenient option, especially if you plan to spend the day in the downtown area. Check BC Transit's website for more information on Park and Ride locations and schedules

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

If you drive an electric vehicle, you'll be happy to know that several charging stations are in downtown Victoria. You can use the PlugShare app to find the nearest charging station and to see availability and pricing.
