Waddington Flats is located in the heart of Downtown Victoria facing the harbour and in close proximity to shopping, restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions.

Waddington Flats is located in a history alley in the centre of the vibrant downtown area. Brightly painted Victorian-era shop-fronts flank both sides of busy Lower Johnson Street between Wharf and Government Streets. Once home to hotels and stores supporting the gold rushes of the 1850s and 1890s, today the area is known for its local and independent trendy boutiques, vintage stores, and restaurants. Outside your front doorstep is Victoria's finest Italian restaurant, Il Terrazzo and around the corner is the heart of Victoria's shopping and dining mecca.

TRAVELLING FROM VANCOUVER TO VICTORIA

The single best way to get from Vancouver to Victoria is take the "BC Ferries Connector" bus leaving from either YVR Airport or Downtown Vancouver to Downtown Victoria. The bus drives right on to the Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay Ferry and the price of your bus ticket includes a 1h30m ferry ride over. Alternatively, you could rent a car in Vancouver and cross by car on the ferry. The ferry is such a fun part of coming to Victoria, often times you can see whales! For those willing to spend a bit more money, the 30 minute Harbour Air seaplane trip to Victoria is a real treat with incredible views!

How to Get to Waddington Flats from the Ferry Terminal

Welcome to Victoria! If you're planning a trip and have booked your stay at Waddington Flats, congratulations - you're in for a treat. To help you get to our hotel, we've put together some directions from the ferry terminal. So don’t worry if you're unfamiliar with the area - we've got you covered!

 

  1. To get started, you'll want to head south on Patricia Bay Hwy/BC-17 from Swartz Bay Passenger Loop. This should take around 5 minutes and cover a distance of about 1 km. The highway is well-signposted, so watch for the signs pointing you toward Victoria.

  2. Once on the highway, you'll need to follow it into downtown Victoria. The drive should take about 25 minutes, and you'll cover approximately 30 km.

  3. When you get close to downtown, you'll want to take the exit for Belleville St/Government St. This is a major intersection, so you should see plenty of signs directing you towards it. From there, follow the signs for the Inner Harbour until you reach Store St.

  4. Turn left onto Store St, and continue until you reach Johnson St. Turn right onto Johnson St, and follow it for a short distance until you reach Waddington Alley.

  5. You've arrived at Waddington Flats, 1310 Waddington Alley, Victoria, BC V8W 0B2. We're right in the heart of downtown Victoria, just a short walk from the Inner Harbour and the Legislative Buildings. PARKING

There is no need to bring a car as almost everything is easy walking distance. We are located right downtown! Unfortunately with our urban location, there is no parking in our building. If you do choose to drive, right next door (less than 60 meters from the building) is the Yates Street Parkade.

City street parking (include the Yates Parkade) is free after 6pm every day, on Sundays all day and on statutory holidays.
